Tennis elbow has little to do with tennis. It is an overuse problem of the tendons on the outer elbow, and it affects people who type, lift, cook, carry bags, or use tools all day. At DR Care, our doctors examine your arm properly, explain what is going on, and plan treatment that gets you back to daily life.
We have received your details and will get back to you very soon.

Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) is pain where the forearm tendons attach to the bony bump on the outer elbow. These muscles help you lift the wrist and grip. When they are overused, the tendon becomes irritated and develops tiny tears and wear.
It is not only for athletes. Typing, using a mouse, painting, plumbing, gardening, carrying heavy bags, and even wringing clothes can bring it on. It is most common between 30 and 50, but can happen at any age.
“Most people improve with the right care, though it can take weeks to months. Resting alone often does not fix it. Strengthening the tendon safely matters more than any single tablet or injection.”
Tennis elbow usually builds up gradually over weeks. If any of these feel familiar, it may be time to get your elbow checked.
Pain or burning on the outer elbow, sometimes spreading down the forearm.
Lifting a kettle or cup, shaking hands, or opening a jar hurts.
A weaker grip, or dropping objects.
Tenderness when you press the bump on the outer elbow.
Stiffness in the elbow, especially in the morning.
Pain that slowly builds up over weeks.
Tennis elbow comes from repeated load on the forearm tendons. Some other problems can look similar, which is why a proper examination matters.
Repetitive gripping, wrist lifting, or twisting at work, home, or sport.
Long hours at a keyboard or mouse with the wrist held up.
Plumbing, painting, carpentry, or heavy tools used all day.
Tennis, badminton, or cricket, especially with poor technique.
A new job, heavy weekend gardening, or starting a sport unprepared.
Poor grip size, heavy tools, or an awkward desk setup.
Tendons recover less easily from load as we age.
A pinched neck nerve, elbow nerve compression, or arthritis.
We find what is loading the tendon, rule out look-alike causes, and build a plan that fits your work.
Where it hurts, what makes it worse, your job, hobbies, and previous treatment.
Testing tenderness, wrist movements, grip strength, and nerves.
Ultrasound, X-ray, MRI, or nerve studies when the picture is unclear.
Activity changes and graded strengthening, adjusted over time.
We listen first, explain what we think is happening in language you can follow, and only suggest tests and treatments that make sense for you.
You will not be hurried through your history or your questions.
What is going on in your elbow, explained without heavy medical jargon.
Your work, hobbies, and goals shape the plan.
Injections and surgery explained plainly, including their limits.
If pain continues, come back and we will adjust the plan.
Book easily by call, WhatsApp, or the form on this page.
A clear, structured path from your first consultation to the care that is right for you.
Your pain, work, hobbies, and past treatment.
Including grip strength and nerve checks.
Most people do not need any.
What is causing your pain, in plain language.
Reducing painful movements without stopping everything.
Graded exercises, the foundation of recovery.
Topical gels, short-term tablets, and a forearm strap if helpful.
Discussed honestly, only in selected cases.
You do not have to put up with elbow pain. At DR Care, our team is here to find the cause and help you get back to work, home, and sport.

Gradual strengthening usually works better than resting and returning to the same strain.
People with outer elbow pain, a weak grip, or pain when lifting or twisting can consult DR Care for a proper evaluation and a clear recovery plan.
Long hours of typing and mouse use.
Plumbers, painters, carpenters, and tool users.
Lifting, stirring, chopping, and wringing clothes.
Tennis, badminton, and cricket players.
Dropping objects or struggling to open jars.
Better with rest, worse back at work.
Pain came back after steroid injections.
Weekend projects that set off elbow pain.
No. Most people with it do not play tennis. Any repetitive gripping or wrist movement can cause it.
It varies. Many people improve over weeks to months with proper care, but some take longer. Your doctor can give you a realistic idea after examining you.
Complete rest often is not enough. Reducing painful activity while gradually strengthening the tendon usually works better.
Usually not. It is diagnosed mostly by examination. Scans are used when the diagnosis is uncertain or pain is not improving.
They can ease pain for a few weeks, but may not give lasting benefit and can slow recovery in some people. Your doctor will discuss whether they suit you.
Some people find that it reduces pain during activity. It is not a cure, and works best along with exercises.
Rarely. It is considered only if pain stays severe after many months of proper non-surgical treatment.
Go straight away if arm pain comes with chest pressure, sweating, or breathlessness, if the elbow is hot, red, and swollen with fever, or after a serious injury with deformity.
